Finished multi-level paver terrace with sandstone seat walls, wide view with the house behind

From cracked concrete to a terraced pool backyard

This yard started as broken concrete slabs, rotting railroad-tie planters and overgrown junipers. We tore all of it out and built a multi-level paver terrace with cut sandstone seat walls and stone steps, running the space down to the pool.

A front entry, designed in 3D first

The owners saw this project before we built it. Marcus drew the failing timber walls and crumbling steps as a 3D design: new block retaining walls, a curved paver walk and planting beds, on a rendering of their actual house. What got built is what they approved.

Tiered block retaining walls with a wide central stone staircase

A hillside nobody could use, turned into a yard

A steep drop behind the house, rebuilt as a curved multi-tier wall system with a central staircase and lights set into the tiers. One client with a project like this wrote afterward: “They took a barren landscape and transformed it into what several in my family have called a castle.” That review is on our Google listing.

Stone outdoor fireplace with heavy mantel standing under a timber pavilion

A pavilion, a stone fireplace, and a patio that works in October

Timber pavilion over a paver terrace, with a full stone-veneer outdoor fireplace standing under the roof. This is the argument we make for outdoor living builds: a fire feature and a roof take an Ohio patio from a seven month space to a ten month space, and lighting keeps it running past dark.
